Worry, worry, worry!
This is what grew in Monsurat’s heart.
Worry when her husband died after two weeks of illness.
Worry when her daughters became fatherless.
Worry for her daughters’ education.
Where could she find help?
Her in-laws threw her and her daughters out to the street.
They said the children could not get an education because they were girls, thus deemed useless.
Her country left them on the streets to fend for themself and their hope.
Hope, hope, hope!
This is what now grows in Monsurat’s heart.
Hope when ACT gifted an education to her daughters.
Hope when ACT helped her start her new business.
She stayed strong and her hopes were answered by ACT.
She stayed strong and her daughters will attend university.
She stayed strong and her and her family have a future now.
Worry, worry, worry!
Also creeps into her heart as coronavirus creeps into our lives.
Worry how her and her daughters will survive off the food she has grown and cannot sell.
And yet Monsurat still hopes for her daughters’ future.
And yet she prays for a rain of blessings to fall on them.
And yet she still believes that it will get better.
Her hope is that with ACT, it surely will.
