JACK TIES THE KNOT WITH AUDREY

ACT supporter and volunteer, Jack Beadle has “tied the knot” with his sweetheart, Audrey Noel, at a church ceremony in London.

The couple celebrated their marriage at Our Ladye Star of the Sea Church in Greenwich, London on Saturday 16th October in the company of family and friends.

The wedding service was performed by the Parish Priest, Fr. Kevin Robinson. His humour and entertaining style ensured that the ceremony was cheerful, joyful and full of laughter. There was no boring moment all through the church service. The historic 17th century Church building (c1846-1851) with its landmark spire, decorated Gothic style, many fittings and decorative elements, all added to making the occasion very special.

It was a short 5-10 minutes’ walk from the Church through Greenwich Park to the ‘Queens House’, where the reception was held in the Orangerie and South Parlours. The weather was brilliant, and guests joined the couple in group photographs in Greenwich Park just outside of Queens House.

Queen’s House is a former royal residence built between 1616 and 1635, designed by architect Inigo Jones for Anne of Denmark, the queen of King James I. It is an important building in British architectural history as the first classical building to be constructed in the UK.

The wedding dinner was served in the Great Hall at the Queens House. More than half of the nearly 90 invited guests had travelled to the UK from France with Audrey’s parents for the wedding. Audrey was born and grew up in France before coming to the UK where she met Jack.

There was a live band, a DJ and an open bar until the curtains fell at Midnight. This was a wedding to be remembered. ACT Director, Kunle and his wife, represented the charity at the occasion.

We all at ACT are proud of Jack for his passion and tireless support for our work. Our congratulations to him and to Audrey.
